How to take a screenshot on your Mac –
There are several ways with which you can take a screenshot on your Mac. There is an additional method which is available if you have a Mac with a Touch Bar.
The simplest shortcut to take a screenshot is pressing the Command, Shift and 3 together.If you press Command, Shift and 4 together you can drag your cursor to just capture a portion of your screen. Once you have selected the shot, you can release the mouse button. You have two options once you do this. You can press and release the space bar. You will see a little camera icon with which you can take a screenshot of any open window. You can also press the spacebar and after dragging the cursor to highlight an area you keep holding it. You can change the area of your selection.
If you have a Mac with a Touch Bar you can screenshot the view of your touch bar too. All you have to do is press the Command, Shift and 6 together.
How to crop a screenshot on your Mac?
Once you are done taking a screenshot on your Mac, you may have to crop it too. Here is how you can do it –
Click on the thumbnail of the screenshot which appears at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Then click on the Crop tool on the top bar. Thereafter, drag the corners of the screenshot and adjust according to the selection you want to make. Then, click Done. You can also use Preview for cropping your screenshot. Open Preview and select the screenshot you want to crop. Then click on the Show Markup Toolbar button. Position it according to the selection you want to make and drag the blue dots on the selection to make it perfect. Click on Tools and then on Crop to make the final cut.
You can also use the Photos App to crop the screenshot. All you have to do is click Right on the screenshot. And click on Open With. Then click on Photos. Your screenshot will open in the Photos app. On the top right hand you will see an option to Edit. Click on Edit and then on Crop. Then drag the crop handles and crop your screenshot. And you are done!
